Keeping You Informed in 2026
As we step into the new year, we reaffirm our commitment to keeping Forestville RSL Club members, guests, and the local community well-informed about the proposed redevelopment and its progress.
Our dedicated website www.heartofforestville.com.au will continue to serve as the central hub for all information related to the redevelopment. Additionally, as we have done since 2022, we will provide regular email updates directly to our members and subscribers. For those who prefer physical materials, we will ensure hard copies are available at the Club for your convenience.
Redevelopment Next Steps
In December, Forestville RSL Club members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the proposed redevelopment, marking a significant milestone for the Club's future financial security.
With member support secured and Development Application (DA) approval in place, we are now advancing to the next phase of the redevelopment process. This includes finalising design details, obtaining necessary building approvals, and establishing a construction program.
Transparency remains a cornerstone of this process, and we are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.
Forestville RSL's Recent Thong Throwing Competition was a huge success with more than 2000 people visiting the Club over the weekend.
Continuing Operations
Importantly, the club will remain open throughout the entire development. We are dedicated to ensuring that the Club remains operational throughout the redevelopment process. Members and their guests will continue to enjoy the Club's facilities until the new venue is ready to open its doors.
At our recent Australia Day weekend more than 2000 people joined us, to enjoy family games, competitions including Forestville RSL's famous Thong Throwing, live entertainment, delicious meals and refreshments, including 2,111 draught beers! It was a great reminder that our Club continues to be a much-loved place of community spirit and connection, and we’re committed to ensure this continues for many years to come.
