October 2025 Update

We are excited to share updates on the next steps in our redevelopment journey, provide an overview of our ClubGrants initiative, and remind you about the Garraway Expression of Interest (EOI) opportunity.

Redevelopment Progress and Next Steps

As previously advised, the Club will hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) to allow members to vote on the redevelopment. To ensure you are fully informed ahead of this important meeting, the Redevelopment Team has been hard at work since receiving DA approval. Key activities include:

  • Refining the internal design of the apartments based on feedback from the Garraway EOI process

  • Finalising the Club’s design to align with member input

  • Engaging with prospective builders to optimise construction efficiencies

  • Revisiting quantity surveyor estimates to ensure accuracy and currency

Once all information is compiled and updated, we will issue a formal notice of the SGM. Taking the time to get these matters right is in the best interests of members and the future of the Club, even if it means the notice may be issued a little later than originally expected. To maximise attendance, the meeting will likely be scheduled after the busy Christmas and school holiday period. Members will receive at least 21 days' notice prior to the SGM, likely in the new year.

Expression of Interest Response for Proposed Retirement Community

We have been thrilled with the number of Club Members who have expressed their interest in Garraway – the proposed retirement village included in our Club’s redevelopment plans.

To date we’ve received over than 118 Expressions of Interest (without advertising) from members eager to stay informed and be among the first to receive updates as the vision for Garraway takes shape.

Given that we have only promoted this initiative to our members and subscribers this response has been a valuable reminder of the high demand from our local community for high-quality, well-located retirement living apartments.

For more information and to stay updated, we encourage you to visit the dedicated website at www.garrawayliving.com.au, where you can sign up for progress updates and announcements.

Growing Community Support

One of the driving forces behind our redevelopment is our commitment to supporting the local community. Over the past decade, the Club has contributed more than $2 million in cash and in-kind support to local groups, and we aim to do even more in the future.

In the last year alone, through our ClubGrants program, we provided over $200,000 in cash and in-kind support to more than 64 local community organisations.

The proposed retirement living village will play a key role in securing recurring income, enabling us to expand our community contributions. With the redevelopment, we hope to deliver even greater social, economic, and community benefits, including targeted funding for not-for-profits, charities, and projects that address local needs and enhance quality of life..
