January 2025 Update
Naming Competition Winners
In recent months, we've invited our members and the local community to contribute to our Club's future by suggesting names for the four buildings in our new retirement community and voting on the shortlisted options.
We were thrilled with the response from our community, receiving over 160 votes in the Heart of Forestville Naming Competition.
We are delighted to announce the winning names for our competition. The new names of our buildings will be:
Waratah
Banksia
Grevillea
Angophora
Aligned with the club's values of supporting the community, each winner received a $500 donation from the Forestville RSL Club to their chosen local community group or charity.
Local charities and community groups receiving donations include:
Forestville Scouts
Northern Beaches WIRES Wildlife Rescue
Forest Lions AFL Football Club
Streetwork
Cancer Council
We extend our gratitude to all participants and those who voted for their favourite names.
In our February Heart of Forestville update, we also look forward to announcing the name of our proposed new retirement living community.
